If you put your name forward for an Area Qualifier, payment must be made in full prior to the close of entries.  If you have to withdraw from the qualifier for any reason, refunds are not given as we are not able to obtain refunds from the area organisers, unless the event is cancelled.

80cm – Split Junior/Senior
Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 10 BE points and a maximum of 250 BS points.  Horses/ponies not to have completed a BS/BE/BRC jumping competition with a starting height of 100cm or more in the previous 12 months.  Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.

Area 9 Combined Challenge Qualifiers

Date: August 2025 – TBC

Venue: West Wilts Equestrian Centre, Melksham Road, Holt, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 6QT

Open to Juniors and Seniors, Teams and Individuals.

**Please note, this qualifies for the Combined Championships on 27 – 28 September 2025 at Aston-le-Walls, Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11 6RT**  

Horse/rider combinations are allowed to compete at 2 consecutive heights both as part of a team or individual. The course consists of a course of a minimum of 6 show jumps immediately followed by a minimum of 6 cross country fences.  The Showjumping and Cross Country are timed separately.  The showjumping has a time allowed, with penalties given for every second over the time allowed and the Cross country has an Optimum time, with penalties being given for every second in excess of 5 seconds under/over optimum time on the Cross Country.
70 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not have to have completed a BE90, BRCHT90, AE90 or CH90 or above in the current competition year.  Riders not allowed to compete at 90 or above in this qualifier/Championship on a different horse.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points and a maximum of 10 BE Foundation points. Not to have completed a BE90 or above in the current year or previous year.
80 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not to have competed Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points. Not to have completed a BE 100 or above in the current year or previous year.
Mixed 90 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.
Riders: Not to have competed Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: All horses may be registered with BE with a maximum of 5 BE points and not to have completed a BE 105 or higher in the current year or previous year.
Mixed 100 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.

Horses and riders will be expected to ride together, side by side for at least 80% of the test.

Area 9 Arena Eventing Qualifiers

Date: October 2025 – TBC

Venue: West Wilts Equestrian Centre, Melksham Road, Holt, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 6QT

Open to Juniors and Seniors, Teams and Individuals.

Horse/rider combinations are allowed to compete at 2 consecutive heights both as part of a team or individual.
The course consists of a course of 9 show jumps immediately followed by 10 portable/knock down style cross country fences with the final fence as a showjump, the Joker fence which will be set a discretionary 10cm higher than the rest of the course.  The Showjumping and Cross Country are timed as a whole with penalties being given for every second in excess under/over the optimum time.
70 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not have to have completed a BE90, BRCHT90, AE90 or CH90 or above in the current competition year.  Riders not allowed to compete at 90 or above in this qualifier/Championship on a different horse.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points and a maximum of 10 BE Foundation points. Not to have completed a BE90 or above in the current year or previous year.
80 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not to have competed Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points. Not to have completed a BE 100 or above in the current year or previous year.
Mixed 90 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.
Riders: Not to have competed Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: All horses may be registered with BE with a maximum of 5 BE points and not to have completed a BE 105 or higher in the current year or previous year.
Mixed 100 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.
Riders: No limit.
Horses: No limit.

Area 9 Winter Senior Novice Dressage Qualifiers

Senior Winter Novice Qualifier – Senior Only Individuals and Teams consist of 3 or 4 riders, each rider in the team rides a different test.

BD Intro 3 (2024)
Horses: Can have up to 35 BD Prelim and a 0 BD points at Novice or above.  Horses cannot have competed in Novice or above BD or BRC in the current or previous competition year.
Riders: Not to have gained their BHS Stage 4 Coach or above in the past ten years.
Tests: BD Prelim 1 (2024) and BD Prelim 2 (2024)
Horses: Can have unlimited BD Prelim points, up to 35 BD Novice points and 0 BD points at Elementary and above.  Horses cannot have competed in Elementary or above BD or BRC in the same competition year.
Riders:  Not to have gained their BHS Stage 4 Coach or above in the past ten years, competed Elementary or above BD, BRC or BE Novice in current or previous calendar year.
Tests: BD Novice 1 (2024)
Horses:  Can have unlimited BD Novice points, up to 35 BD Elementary points and 0 BD points at Medium and above.
Riders:  Not to have gained their BHS Performance Coach (BHSI) or above in the past ten years, competed Medium or above BD, BRC or BE Intermediate in current or previous calendar year.

Mixed 60cm – Open to horses/ponies with 0 BE or BE foundation points and 0 BS points or BS Club points gained at 80cm or higher. Horses/ponies not to have completed a BS/BE or any BRC jumping competition with a starting height of 80cm or higher in the 12 months before the close of prelim entries.
Riders not to have completed a BS/BE or BRC with a starting height of 80cm or above in the 12 months before close of prelim entry.  Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.
70cm – Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 50 BS points, 0 BE points or 15 BE foundation points.  Horses/ponies not to have completed a BS/BE or any BRC jumping competition with a starting height of 90cm or higher in the 12 months before the close of prelim entries.
Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.
80cm – Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 250 BS points or 10 BE points.  Horses/ponies not to have completed a BS/BE or any BRC jumping competition with a starting height of 100cm or higher in the 12 months before the close of prelim entries.
Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.
Mixed 90cm – Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 750 BS points and 40 BE points. Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.
Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.
Mixed 100cm – Open to teams of mixed juniors/seniors. No limits on eligibility

Combinations: Not to have gained 70% or higher in their arena at a BRC/BD Championship at Intro Level or above.
