If you put your name forward for an Area Qualifier, payment must be made in full prior to the close of entries.  If you have to withdraw from the qualifier for any reason, refunds are not given as we are not able to obtain refunds from the area organisers, unless the event is cancelled.

Intro Dressage – Individuals only – Split Juniors/Seniors

Test: BD Intro C (2016)
Open to horses/ponies with up to 35 BD Prelim points and 0 BD points at Novice or above.  Horses/ponies cannot have competed in Novice or above in the current or previous calendar year BD or BRC and cannot have any BE points.  Riders cannot have competed at BE Novice or Elementary dressage or above in the current or previous calendar year BD or BRC.  Riders not to have gained their BHS Stage 4 coach or above within the past ten years or ridden FEI dressage in the last 5 calendar years.

Mixed HT70 – for mixed Teams and Individuals
Dressage: BE90 Dressage 96 (2016) – Open to horses with 0 BE points or Foundation points, horses may be registered with BE but must not have any BE points and a maximum of 10 BE Foundation points.  Not to have completed a BE90 or above in the current or previous calendar year.  Riders not to have completed a BE90 or BRC HT90 or above in the current competition year.  Riders may not compete at 90 or above in the same qualifier or championship.  Riders not to have competed 3* or above in last 5 calendar years.  At Championships this will be a 1-day event (short format).

HT80 – (split Juniors/Seniors) for Teams and Individuals
Dressage: BE90 Dressage 96 (2016) – Open to horses with 0 BE points, horses may be registered with BE but must not have any BE points.  Not to have completed a BE100 or above in the current or previous calendar year.  Riders not to have competed 3* or above in last 5 calendar years. At Championships this will be a 2-day event (short format) for Seniors and a 1-day event (short format) for Juniors.

HT90 – (split Juniors/Seniors) for Teams and Individuals
Dressage: BE90 Dressage 96 (2016) – Open to horses with a maximum of 5 BE points, horses may be registered with BE but must not have completed a BE105 or above in the current or previous calendar year.  Riders not to have competed 3* or above in last 5 calendar years.  At Championships this will be a 2-day event (short format).

HT100 – Mixed class of Junior & Senior Teams and Individuals
Dressage: BE100 Dressage 107 (2016) – Open to horses with NO maximum BE points.  Riders not to have competed 4* or above in last 5 calendar years.  At Championships this will be a 2-day event (short format).

Horses/ponies not to have completed a BE or BRC 100 or above in the current or previous calendar year. Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.

80cm
Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 5 BE points and 75 BS points. Horses/ponies may be registered with BE but must not have completed a BE105 or above in the current or previous calendar year. Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.

90cm
Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 20 BE points and 500 BS points. Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.

Mixed 100cm
Open to teams of mixed juniors/seniors. Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 60 BE points and 999 BS points. Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years.

Mixed 105cm
Open to teams of mixed juniors/seniors.  No limits on eligibility

Style Jumping
One round not against the clock, riders to be judged on the style of their riding.  Individuals and Teams of 3 or 4 of which 2 riders jump 75cm and 2 riders jump 85cm.
75cm Style Jumping
Open to horses/ponies with no BE or BE foundation points and no BS points or BS Club points gained at 90cm or higher. Horses/ponies not to have completed a BE or BRC 100 or above in the current or previous calendar year. Riders not to have competed at under FEI rules for showjumping in the last 5 calendar years or passed the FBHS, BHSI or BHSII exam.
85cm Style Jumping
Open to horses/ponies with a maximum of 10 BE points.

Area 9 Combined Challenge Qualifiers

Date: Sunday 25th August 2024

Venue: West Wilts Equestrian Centre, Melksham Road, Holt, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 6QT

Open to Juniors and Seniors, Teams and Individuals.

**Please note, this qualifies for the Combined Championships at Aston-le-Walls, Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11 6RT on 5th – 6th October 2024**  

All qualifying classes are open to Juniors and Seniors Teams and Individuals.

Horse/rider combinations are allowed to compete at 2 consecutive heights both as part of a team or individual. The course consists of a course of a minimum of 6 show jumps immediately followed by a minimum of 6 cross country fences.  The Showjumping and Cross Country are timed separately.  The showjumping has a time allowed, with penalties given for every second over the time allowed and the Cross country has an Optimum time, with penalties being given for every second in excess of 5 seconds under/over optimum time on the Cross Country.

70 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not have to have completed a BE90, BRCHT90, AE90 or CH90 or above in the current competition year.  Riders not allowed to compete at 90 or above in this qualifier/Championship on a different horse.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points and a maximum of 10 BE Foundation points. Not to have completed a BE90 or above in the current year or previous year.

80 – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not to have competed Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points. Not to have completed a BE 100 or above in the current year or previous year.

Mixed 90 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.
Riders: Not to have competed Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.
Horses: All horses may be registered with BE with a maximum of 5 BE points and not to have completed a BE 105 or higher in the current year or previous year.

Mixed 100 – Teams may consist of a mixture of Junior and Senior riders and individuals.
No limit.

Riders: Not to have gained their BHS Stage 4 Coach or above in the past ten years, competed Novice or above BD, BRC or BE 100 in current or previous calendar year or competed Elementary or above BD, BRC or BE Novice or above in the last 3 calendar years.
Combinations: Not to have been placed 1st in their arena at Intro Dressage/Riding Test or above at any BRC Championship in the last 3 calendar years.

Tests: Prelim 1 (2006) & Prelim 2 (2016)

Area Arena Eventing Qualifiers

Date: Sunday 13th October 2024

Venue: West Wilts Equestrian Centre, Melksham Road, Holt, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 6QT

All classes are open to Juniors and Seniors Teams and Individuals.

***Please note, this event qualifies for the Arena Eventing Championships in 2025 at Washbrook Farm, Aston le Walls, Daventry, Northampton LN2 2NA.***

Horse/rider combinations are allowed to compete at 2 consecutive heights. The course consists of a course of show jumps immediately followed by cross country fences, and will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the joker fence, which will be set at a discretionary 10cm higher than the rest of the course. The joker fence is a compulsory fence and must be jumped, failure to jump before passing through the finish will be classed as error of course and elimination. There will be a maximum of 20 jumping efforts, 9 show jumping, 10 XC fences and the joker SJ fence. Judged on optimum time of whole course.

70cm – For Teams and Individuals. Class will split in to Junior and Senior sections
Riders: Not to have competed 3* Eventing under FEI rules in the last 5 calendar years.  Not have to have completed a BE90, BRCHT 90 or CH90 or above in the current competition year.  Riders not allowed to compete at 90 or above in this qualifier on a different horse.
Horses: May be registered with BE but must not have any BE points and a maximum of 10 BE Foundation points. No to have completed a BE90 or above in the current year or previous year.
